If you have not taken an ACLS class previously, or your certification has expired, you have the option to take the blended learning program followed by the ACLS update program for your skills test. Please see the ACLS Blended Learning page.
The Blended Learning Program is not mandatory for renewal, it is only mandated if you are not currently certified in ACLS.

**It is mandatory to take the pretest and pass by 70%. Do the precourse work which will include videos and questions.
Bring the pretest to class with you.**
Here is how to do this;

Go to elearning.heart.org/courses

Find the course name: ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work

Also look at the IO and Coping with Death videos on the upper right corner of the site.

Once you find your course, select Launch Course to begin.

Note: If you haven't already logged in, the system will ask you to do so. If you haven't visited the site before, you'll be prompted to set up an account.

When doing the precourse work make sure you minimize the video so you can click on the forward button to answer questions after each video.
